Byron Wilson was an Evanston resident and engaged heavily in social / civic causes. He is one of the founders of a men’s organization called the NorShore 12. The organization held social activities and challenged the school board election process that virtually blocked Blacks from participating. The organization also sponsored its annual cotillion managed by Brownie Frasier (also in this recording).
